Was in Los Angeles recently shopping for a project and stumbled on the greatest store called Morateur Gallery. Their inventory is quite unique, specializing in Art Deco primarily - with a curated collection of Ruhlman, Adnet, Royere, etc. There are quite a few gems on display. Check out some of my favorites below, or head directly to their website here!
Love a Matthew Fairbank lamp, such as this one last night at the Dennis Miller Showroom.
Working on furnishings for our client in California. The process of design has been fairly linear on this project...yet is constantly being fine tuned. Curious to see how it evolves moving forward.
Oh Spencer Richards, what would I do without you? Our newest Design Lead (and longtime Studio Manager) sent this photo for me to approve a bowl for a clients project. Love how he brings his signature style to everything he does. #GoTeam!
This year Mr Call Designs created the table for the venerable firm, STARK at the annual Lenox Hill Charity event. Our theme... "Sartorial Picnic". It was in the Wall Street Journal!!! Check it out here and also check our more photos from the event below.
So proud to share a quote for the new launch of John Esty Fine Custom Framing's website. Seriously, this company has mentored me in the art of fine framing since I started designing in NYC eons ago. So happy to see them thriving and growing... and sharing it with the world with this classy little piece of internet real estate. Check it out here.
Having drinks with the staff!
At the DIFFA event, supporting the launch of AERIN fabrics at the Kravet table with Newell Turner and Suanne Costa. Check out my other photos too!
Holy Crap!! I knew they were going to do a story on the company... but I didn't know THIS WOULD HAPPEN! You guys have to check Benjamin Moore's "Nuance" magazine. This is the biggest spread we have ever had (I mean... our images are behind the table of contents for goodness sakes!). Thank you so much to Benjamin Moore for this awesome editorial. Really an awesome moment over here at MCD. Check it out here!
Playing with Neoclassical themes and Pink and Green. It just feels fresh and pretty.
Working on some new design schematics for a bungalow. What do you think?
Check out our custom sofa for the den at our Chelsea project. I used a silver mohair to cover the piece that gives it an almost metallic shine. The arms are double thick and the stance is super low - an ode to 1940's French furniture. And yes... it has a fold out bed for the occasional guest. Excited to see it installed!
Album of photos documenting our Chelsea project as it comes together!
Third Installment of HOMME DESIGN for The Manual - where I interpret men's fashion into residential interiors! This time I designed a living room around last month's Armani FW2013 Milan show - check it out here and weigh in!! xx

Captured at the Hearst "Designer Visions" event in Tribecca. I needed a jolt of energy, since I have been suffering from that darn insomnia, so a jolt of bold citrus color did the trick. Had so much fun. Thanks to Hearst for the great event!
